Ta Daaaa One World Day as a non denominational , nonsectarian, universal, international, global , lets all work together, no excuses celebration of harmony and harmlessness.
If we can't get President Barack Obama to get enthusiastic about World Vegan Day then perhaps 1 World Day fits into a more politically acceptable shopping basket ? What Do You Think Mr President? Can we tempt you to follow in the footsteps of one of your heroes Mahatma Gandhi ? Just for one day?

World Vegan Day Poll
CommuniGate | World Vegan Day Poll:
In the Annual World Vegan Day Poll it seems that (according to those who expressed a preference) there's a pretty even split between those who think that more healthy and delicious vegan options on restaurant menus would make it easier for more people to adopt a vegan lifestyle (29%) and those who just want to take their friends on an outing to the nearest abatoir (30%)
Other options better vegan options in the shops (16%) and research that proves that a vegan lifestyle is the healthiest (12%)
Perhaps we should take to the streets and survey non vegans and find out what the public say.....?
We suspect how they think may be slightly different and produce different statistics

West Midlands Vegan Festival 2010

West Midlands Vegan Festival 2010: "- This year World Vegan Day will be celebrated a few days early in the UK , although no doubt there will be a few smaller parties going on on the Monday
The Saturday before World Vegan Day everyone is heading to the heart of England to Wolverhampton , just north of Birmingham in the West Midlands to the Wolverhampton Civic Hall.
The Midlands Vegan Campaign - MVC has been growing in size every year and this year it has moved to the Civic hall so that it can accommodate everyone as last year there was wasn't enough room to swing a cat treat filled shopping bag.
Usual mix of kids stuff, entertainment, talks, cookery demonstrations, food, fun, frollocks and ethical shopping.
Hopefully there'll be enough room this year to entice many new people in to discover how fun, healthy and delicious a vegan lifestyle can be.

A Delicate Balance A Delicate Balance documents the latest discoveries of some of the most prominent experts on nutrition in the world. With a focus on health and theramifications on the environment over 50 years of research is skilfully woven into what feels like a detective unravelling the mysteries behind the disease epidemic which has struck affluent countries with a vengeance - disease has been escalating over the last 50 years resulting in 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women being diagnosed with cancer.
Food Matters Food Matters discusses the importance of Nutrition & Natural Therapies for preventing and reversing chronic illness. The film shows which foods and therapies are ideal for optimal health and have been proven to help with Heart Disease, Diabetes, Depression, Cancer and many more Chronic Illnesses and everyday conditions.
End of The Line The world’s first major documentary about the devastating effect of overfishing premiered at Sundance Film Festival. Imagine an ocean without fish. Imagine the global consequences. This is the future if we do not stop, think and act.
The Age of Stupid - "We could have saved ourselves, but we didn’t. It’s amazing. What state of mind were we in, to face extinction and simply shrug it off?” Climate change and present apathy viewed from the future. - A tight squeeze on your reproductive organs to widen your eyes to the plight of the planet.
Meat The Truth The documentary Meat the Truth is the first major project undertaken by the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation, presented by Marianne Thieme (leader of the Party for the Animals)Meat the Truth has drawn attention to the role of Meat in climate change by demonstrating that livestock farming generates more greenhouse gas emissions worldwide than all cars, lorries, trains, boats and planes added together.
Earthlings - EARTHLINGS is an award-winning documentary film about the suffering of animals for food, fashion, pets, entertainment and medical research. Considered the most persuasive documentary ever made, it reminds people that animals are earthlings too and our many crimes against them are unforgiveable.
